Differences between 2023 Genesis G70 and Genesis G80
In terms of fuel economy, the base model G70 can deliver 25 mpg combined with its 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, but its horsepower leaves something to be desired. In addition to the 10.3-inch touch screen infotainment display, the interior of the G70 also includes Nappa leather upholstery, a microfiber headliner, a heated steering wheel, and a power liftgate. However, the back seat passengers do not have much leg room due to the lack of headroom.
The G70 is an excellent choice with its Sports Prestige trim and rear drive 3.3T engine and is the more value for money car overall. This G70 3.3T can accelerate from 0 – 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds thanks to its twin turbo 3.3 liter V-6 engine that produces 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque, delivering a top speed of 121 mph. It is due to the torque in the athletic chassis that the G70 provides excellent handling and strong, agile cornering capabilities.
In terms of size, the G80 is a larger car, sitting halfway between the G70 and the G90, and it offers plenty of legroom for both the front seat and the back seat. It is worth noting, however, that the G70 has a more athletic feel to its handling as opposed to the new G70 model. With that said, the G80 has a lot of the same luxurious finishes that the G80 had a few years ago, with a few extras thrown in for good measure.
Besides a large 12.3 inch digital gauge cluster, which has a touch screen display of 14.5 inches, there is a heating and air conditioning system for the seats. There is also a Smart Park feature available in this model, which allows the car to maneuver itself out of tight parking spots by itself
Among the best-value G80 models, the 2.5T Advanced package is selling for $52,600, making it the most affordable trim.
There are two engine options available: a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower, and a V-6 engine with 375 horsepower if you choose the V-6 engine option. In comparison with the G70, the 2.5T went from 0-60 mph in just 5.7 seconds while the V-6 took just over 4 seconds to get from 0-60 mph.
The Fuel Tank Capacity of the G70 is 15.8 gallons whereas in the G80 the size of the fuel tank is 17.2 gallons which means more petrol can be stored in the G80 making it more efficient.

You could choose either car based on what features matter to you. You might want to consider the Sports Prestige 3.3T G70 if you are looking for exciting handling and a fun drive. The G80 would be a better option if you do not want to deal with the lack of space in the G70, plus it includes a few additional luxuries features like leather upholstery.
A brand new version of the G80 Sport is due for release in 2023. It might offer the same athleticism and space as the G70, but with more finesse and space. In addition to the rear-wheel drive and 20 inch wheels, the G80 could provide more agility. However, there isn’t much information available yet.
It might be the case that the G70 might prove to be the most value-for-money model in terms of quality and finish, with most of the same features as the G80, but at a much lower price point.
