What is the updated plan for the upcoming 2023 Kia Telluride? It’s safe to say that Telluride has been known as one of the most crucial Kia’s models for the American auto market. After all, SUVs are selling like hot cakes there; making the model super favorable and likable. Family cars are viewed extremely important, and their sales have never disappointed anyone.
The Updated Plans
The 2022 model of Telluride has got several updates along with more standard features and equipment. But it doesn’t stop them from having more facelift (a comprehensive one!) for the 2023 model. It’s a good thing that Kia has kindly shown what the Telluride would look like. The changes may be subtle, but you can always tell that they are there and they do affect the entire appearance of the SUV. The idea is to make the new Telluride more elegant and somewhat luxurious; worthy for its competitors.
Kia believes that it is logical to update their productions’ design periodically so that they can stay strong against other competitors and they can meet (prospective) buyers’ requirements. They also believe that they can deliver one benefit of offering an authentic and unique South Korean experience within a midsize SUV having several design elements that can only be found in high-end and luxury SUVs.
The Design and Appearance
A viral YouTube video can be providing hints of what the new Telluride would look like. There would be new headlight sets (which are quite evident although covered with the camo mesh), apparently, with also new appearance of the taillights although the overall shape remains the same.
As it was mentioned before the 2023 Kia Telluride doesn’t go major visual changes, but the changes are small and subtle. For the front fascia, for instance, there would be the headlights’ internal graphics changes, along with the radiator grille pattern. It affects the shapes to be more pronounced and visible. Moreover, the current Telluride has this LED lights that are bumper integrated, but it seems that the facelift will make it go away.
On the back area, it is possible that taillights would also be affected. Unfortunately, the 2023 Telluride is still going on a testing stage, which means that it stills wears heavy camouflage. More details are unclear, so we should wait for Kia to reveal their detailed design in the near future. Moreover, the manufacturer hasn’t been very clear about their refresh plan. Are the changes happening to all of the trim, or will it be specific to one trim only?
Power and Performance
It’s possible that the new Telluride would be coming with V6 unit of 3.8 liter capacity that is capable enough in delivering 291 hp and 262 Nm of torque. It has front wheel driving system as the standard with 23 mpg combined. Rumor has it that the 2023 model would be coming with 3 row arrangements, so huge power is quite logical.
Price Range and Release Date
Considering that Telluride is still viewed a fresh model, it’s quite normal not to expect it to launch before the early months of 2022. It’s possible, though, that the domestic market may have the launch early – like before the 2022 ends, but it seems that the launch for the US market will take place after it.
Kia hasn’t released official confirmation about the price, but if you take 2022 model for prediction base (in the US market), it’s highly likely that the price won’t change too much. The price for the basic trim, the LX, would be around $32,800 while the SX trim may get a tag of $42,700. But then again, it’s all just prediction and not the real figures. If you really want to know more about 2023 Kia Telluride, you should tune in for further (and official) release from the company.
